Explore the facts about Egg

All of us use Egg in our daily diet. Most of the people just love this. Some don`t like it also. But we like it or not we use this in different forms in our diet almost daily, because many bakery products contains high amount of Eggs.
Egg is the most common food we use use in breakfast. People also use this in making of dessert, patties, soups and other bakery items.  You can intake it by simply boiling, frying full or half or in omelet form. There are more than 100 recipes of omelets available. Most common are Onion omelet, Vegetable and Cheese omelets.


Nutritional Facts:
Egg one of the balanced form of diet. It contains high amount of protein. Some people believe that taking an egg daily in breakfast will never let dark circles come around your eyes. The reason is that it contains high amount of vitamins and fats also. 
1 egg contains 6grm of proteins and several other important nutrients. Also one egg contains 212mg of cholesterol. That is why people with high blood pressure and cholesterol should not intake egg.  Inversely people with low blood pressure should take this food must. 
Those people are on diet can happily have this meal because the combination of cholesterol and protein in egg make the things balance.
Other Important nutrients in Egg are:
Selenium, Vitamin B, Vitamin A, Vitamin E and Lutein

Shades of Eggs:
 An egg can be found in many colors. The reason of these colors in egg is pigments. The Pigments are deposited as the eggs move through the hen's oviduct. The most common found shades of eggs are White and light brown. Sometimes these are found in green to blue shades. Usually farm eggs are in light brown shade. Chickens with white ear lobes produce white eggs. Chicken that take healthy diet produce more healthy egg.

Good or Bad Egg checking tips:
Sometimes especially in summer it is common that eggs get rotten. This is must that you know about freshness of eggs, because rotten eggs are too bad for health. To check the freshness of egg:


  • Take a bowl of cold water. Dip the egg into it. A rotten egg will float on the surface of water. While, a Fresh Egg would sink completely in the water.
  • Take an egg and shake it by placing it near your ears. If you hear a sloshing sound the egg is not good for health.
  • Moreover if you break egg and found flat Yolk which looks diluted like water, the egg is bad.
